A gender ‘Round Up’ of 2014
I might feel differently if I were a kid who’d been told last January that I needed braces on my teeth for a year, but the months of 2014 just flew by for me. And after seeing Chris Rock’s comedy flick Top Five last night, I wanted to do my own top five. But instead of rappers, I chose the year’s top five most popular posts on My Son Wears Heels.
So in case you missed any, here they are:
1. Baby gifts: My double whammy of gender stereotyping.
Do these baby shoes have a gender?
2. What I learned the second time my boy wanted to be a girl for Halloween.
Me, Harry & the pink caterpillar, 1994.
3. Rainbows, pride and drag-queen nostalgia.
My son who wears heels and me.
4. Hit me over the head with a rubber chicken, please.
Harry, age 2, had lots of questions.
5. He, zie or they: Gender specific pronouns are personal.

So what was your favorite blog of the year, and why? Please share in the comment section below.
My favorite is all of them. Next year’s blogs might move into the realm of possibilities that Harry and all of us can experience after setting ourselves free.
Much love to you for the New Year, dear cousin/author/blogster/mensch!
Thank you, dear Rickshala! And cheers to your idea about the endless possibilities that come with finding our freedom. Happy 2015! xo
I love all of your blog posts! It’d be impossible to pick a favorite. It’s like a museum with countless works of art! I consider it a privilege to read them each week and I know can reach out and tell you how awesome you and Harry are. I’m ready for 2015! xo
Wow, Renee! Thanks for the perfect end to a fabulous year. I’m ready for 2015, too, and am so glad we’re in it together. Cheers to you. xo
